The PIVKey T800  is a tiny USB PIV (SP 800-73) smart card ideal for both personal use and corporation applications such as Windows logon, e-mail/file encryption, signing and remote logon via VPN, RDP or HTTPS. It offers a high level of security while being as tiny (about ¾”) as a USB drive.

PIVKey T800 is a certificate-based USB token that features an integrated PIV (NIST FIPS SP 800-73) smartcard chip, a dedicated smartcard security processor on board, and is both logically and physically tamperproof. PIVKey supports on-board key generation, cryptography, random number generation, and enforces PIN based two factor authentication.

  • PIVKey is compatible with the US PIV Smart Card Standard, part of the FIPS 201/HSPD-12 Federal Security initiative. PIVKey implements NIST SP 800-73 Part 3, the PIV Card Command Interface.  The device is compatible with a wide variety of PIV applications and platforms.
  • PIVKey is compatible with Windows (10, 8.1, 8.0, 7, Server 2012, 2008r2, 2008) – You can issue Digital Certificates directly to your PIVKey device using the Standard Windows CA Enrollment processes or via any Windows compatible IDMs, such as Windows Forefront Identity Manager. PIVKey supports the Windows standard in-box PIV smart card, USB reader, Windows In-Box CCID and Windows Mini drivers, which spares Your time installing drivers or Middleware.
  • Loading certificates onto the PIVKey requires the use of the PIVKey Windows Mini driver and Admin tools, which are available at the website. With the PIVKey minidriver, You can request certificates directly from a Windows Server CA using the built in Windows MMC Certificate Snap-in, or the Certreq utility.
  • PIVKey supports Mac OSX, Linux and Android (Read Only – either commercial Smart Card Middleware or open source middleware such as the OpenSC PIV client.) PIVKey does not support loading of certificates on Linux or Mac.
